An Ounce Of Prevention
We all know about the ravages of cancer, so why not direct a Cancer-Fundraiser toward prevention? Proper nutrition, a healthy colon, a healthy liver and kidneys are paramount to avoiding cancer.
It all begins in the colon. If the colon isn't working properly then the liver can't function as it should, which in turn causes the kidneys to fail.
Just ask your family doctor and he will tell you that this is the scenario, the precursers to cancer. Other more obvious causes like smoking, exposure to chemicals, radiation, asbestos and even artificial sweeteners contribute to the cause of cancer.
The air we breathe is also a culprit. Education is the key to avoiding cancer and a Cancer-Fundraiser is where the money comes from.
If you have cancer then a Cancer-Fundraiser or a group that does Cancer-Fundraising is a place to turn for help. Support groups need Cancer-Fundraisers to keep their doors open and pay the phone bill, electric bills and all the other necessary costs incurred, just to tell you about their programs. The lists are endless.
If you have the disease you may need help getting to the doctor for treatment or even help to pay for the treatment itself, not to mention keeping your own lights and phone on so you can call for help.
Not even the tax man will give you a break. There are hundreds of places that a Cancer-Fundraising project can help in the long road to recovery.
Research? How long before the magic bullet is found? Here again money to do the research and testing are the accelerators. Great strides are being made on how to target cancer cells and get the treatment to only the affected area.
This is probably the most promising of the treatments that are in the works, but accidental discoveries are made all the time, so who knows when the next miracle may happen.
A Cancer-Fundraising-Mall will not solve all the problems associated with cancer, but every little bit helps. A Cancer-Fundraising project may just help you in a time of need, or even give you that bit of information that helps you prevent getting the disease, or who knows, that little bit of money might just lead to the magic bullet.
