If there is one group in America who truely needs DAV-Fundraiser help it is the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Fundraiserforall.com and The Mall Of The World stand ready to put the DAV-Fundraising-Mall at the disposal of these brave men and women who just about lost it all.
Many have parts of their bodies gone! Over 250,000 DAV are homeless! Over a million are forced to wait over 6 months to see a doctor at a Veteran' s Hospital and all are carrying mental scars of what happened to them. Just a few steps from the grave, these men and women just about gave it all for our Country!
Please forgive my gung-ho attitude about the DAV, but it comes deep from my heart...I've been there with bullets missing my head by inches, crawling through the mud and jungles of Viet-Nam. I was one of the lucky ones...just a shrapnel hole in my arm and memories burned into my brain that no one should have to live with. It's going to take more than a Purple Heart to fix all this.
There should be hundreds of DAV-Fundraising events going on all the time! If there is any way that I can get thousands of DAV-Fundraising-Malls going for different DAV-Fundraising groups on a National or local level, I will! Their needs are many and DAV-Fundraising groups are few.
New wheelchairs, wheelchair ramps to access new places to live for the 250,000 homeless. Funds to pay civilian doctors for medical care of the millions that are waiting at the doors of Veterans Hospitals. Some new clothes to bring back some dignity to these Brave American Heros.
America, there are over a million of these DAVs needing immediate help! Many of you are seeing on TV the next wave of DAV from the Gulf. It's going to get worse before it gets better, and I truely feel for the families of those who don't make it home.
