Fundraiser-Games Are All About Fun, Excitement And Money
Fundraiser-Games are a unique and different way to put the Fun into a Fundraising-Event and a great way to raise money for your Group. There are literally thousands Of Fundraiser-Games that any Group can do with No money from the Group.
One of my favorites is the eating Findraiser-Game for a fundraiser. Anything that can be eaten is fair game at an Eating-Event. Be it hot-dogs, donuts, pizza, chicken legs, watermelon, or any other eatable, the money is in the “hype” of the Fundraising-Event.
So, how does your Group make money with a Fundraiser-Game? “Advertising-Sponsors” is the answer. The real money isn’t going to come from the entry fee of the contestant eating 52 hot dogs or 6 large pizzas. It’s going to come from the Advertising-Sponsors of your Game.
There’s going to be so much fun and excitement that all the local businesses are going to want to be a part of this event. Their business will be advertised on the radio, TV, newspaper, flyers, signs, and in the minds of all the people who hear about your Groups Fundraising-Game.
Say for instance your group charges $100.00 to businesses to be an advertising-sponsor for this event. You get 14 businesses for advertising-sponsors. Your advertising on all the local media comes to $300.00 (don’t forget that as a Fundraising-Group, you’ll get deep discounts or free advertising on every media in your town). Hey, the newspaper would be a great advertising-sponsor and kick in free advertising for all your advertising-sponsors. So $1400.00 minus $300.00 comes to $900.00 before the event ever starts.
Now the contestants, who want some notoriety, need to pay an entry fee of at least $20.00, which they’re going to eat in food donated by the local doughnut Shoppe. Also businesses can sponsor an individual in the games. There are about 50 of them for another $1000.00
Then, on lookers will want to be a part of the contest. A $5.00 donation puts their name on a card, which is placed into a container for their favorite contestant. If their Contestant wins then a card is drawn from the winners’ container and some lucky onlooker wins a prize donated by an advertising-sponsor. This will bring in even more money.
The amount of money your Group makes depends on the number of Advertising-Sponsors and how much they’re willing to Advertise. Ask for a lot of money. You can always offer lower priced advertising to fit any businesses budget. Create the excitement and they will join in on the action.
In the later part of Nov 2004 a simple doughnut eating contest in Winston-Salem, NC brought in $16,000 for a Group. They planned and created excitement about their Fundraising-Event. The Group hit the streets and obtained several Corporate Advertising-Sponsorships, which is where the bulk of their money came from.
Speaking of games, you did remember to make your Mall one of the Advertising-Sponsors for your Fundraiser-Game didn’t you? There’s probably not a Video Game Store in your town that has as many Games as your Mall Of The World. Think about the long-term income from just that section of your Groups Mall or what could be your Groups Mall Of The World.Want to take a look at the Games section? Here’s a link to the Games section of the Mall.
